No animals to roam

No plants to grow

And no humans to walk.

No mountains to protect

You will be able to breathe

See animals roam

Observe plants grow

Look up to the sky

Have mountains to protect

Water to drink

Food to eat

And you will SURVIVE!

Wala ka pa sa realidad #01

PART 1: Kasalanan ang gumising nang maaga Lunes. Nag-alarm ako ng 5:30am. Ngayon ang araw ng onboarding ko sa trabaho. Naligo ako agad dahil pakay kong pumunta ng campus para magpa-scan at print ng mga job requirements. Hindi ko nagawa noong weekend dahil umuwi ako ng Laguna para makipagkita sa mga dating kaibigan at para damayan ang isa sa amin na kakabreak lang sa nobya. Hindi ko rin nagawa noong nakaraang linggo dahil nais kong pagsabayin sila kapag kumpleto na lahat ang dokumento.  Sumakay na ako ng jeep at tiniis ang halos isang oras na traffic sa Katipunan Avenue. Pambihira ito sa 10-15 minutes na normal na byahe pero dahil morning rush, alam kong male-late ako sa trabaho. 7am na ako nakarating sa loob ng campus at nalamang sarado (malamang) pa ang pakay kong computer shop. "Years from now, after I graduate I'll go back to my school and direct its plays," I told my Mom as we have our dinner. The very next day I was called by our school principal, Tr. Glo, and told me this, "I want you to be the assistant director of Sir Mike."  Sir Michael Medina is our resident director since the school started producing Disney's Musical Plays, and for this year's school play - he's going to direct Beauty and the Beast Jr. once more (as the school already did the same play ten years ago).  Having heard my principal, my mind was like "That escalated quickly." I was flattered by the offer. All I had to do is say YES and take it, and so I did. I even managed to make an anecdote out of my last night's conversation with my Mom and shared it with Tr. I started thinking about how you would feel if you knew what was happening. What if you already have the capacity to understand things as they are and accept them? Would you do something about it like I did? Would you have the courage to act upon the situation or just ignore it until it numbs you like I did? Would you do the same?  Every time I look at you, I see myself. It is as if I am witnessing my childhood in yours and I'm actually in the background - watching. How incredible is that? (I thought to myself.) However, I don't wish you'd become like me. I wish you to become a totally different person than I am. I wish you will have enough courage to face difficult situations and not run away from them. Good Evening, respectable guest, Prof. Violeta V. Quintana, Mrs. Gloria N. Lontoc, the directress and principal of JILS, JILS board of directors, our beloved parents, teachers, friends, and fellow graduates, once again good evening to all of you! Tonight, we are about to witness the ending and the new beginning of our better life. To my fellow graduates, I hope we’ll be a better person after this big memorable event. Looking back, the six years that I spent here was so much wonderful. I saw the changes of JILS. I met new people, new classmates, and new teachers. I grew here in JILS. Reaction Paper: Shrek The Musical

A remarkable show that might be one of the finest among others. Shrek The Musical has something that would make you love it. The Musical’s wonderful songs, great actors, amazing production, and its undying story are incredible. The show is full-packed and you wouldn’t get over it instantly. Watching a world-class performance is overwhelming, plus the spectacular production that’s awe-inspiring. The show gave painstakingly justice to its origin and it really gives the whole idea of what “Shrek” is all about; what friendship really means, how freedom and discrimination are depicted, and what true love truly meant.             Shrek The Musical has very talented artists. The artists can dance, sing, and act; of course, they are artists after all.           Writing here and looking back, I don’t know how and where to begin. Let’s start with myself and my family. My parents gave me the name of “Ace Meelan” and until now, I didn’t bother to ask where it came from and how did they came up with such name. I live with my family. I have two siblings; namely, Aura Meeko and Aleszandra Meekaella. My brother is now in college while I’m only a ninth-grade student and my younger sister is just in kindergarten. Have you noticed anything about our names? They all have the initials of A and M which also came from the combined initials of our parents, Alex and Melody.           February 07. I am attracted to laughter.  If someone smiles often, thinks positively, and can enjoy the small things in life; I am naturally enticed by who they are. I admire someone who can put their cynical and pessimistic thoughts aside and bear through with a sense of humor. To me, that is everything. I think I'd fall in love with a compassionate person who can laugh through their own tears. You asked me to speak my mind. So here, my mind. today i got my heart broken

Today I got my heart broken. I hate that I only write when my heart breaks. I wish I could write when it is happy. As to save it. As to remember. As to claim that not all the time is a sad day. Only if that is the case. This is not the first time I had my heart broken. And I know it is not going to be the last. But every time it happens, it hits differently. It is supposed to feel the same, right? The same thing just happened again. Again. Why does it feel like the first time? I thought I knew what tomorrow would bring because today was just like yesterday. For someone who does not have anything to look forward into anymore, I am almost always wrong. Today I realized, I can be more broken than I already am. But I wonder what is there to break? I fear that I am just making up this feeling, so I get to be human for a day.
